My relationship with money
As an immigrant Latina, I had little financial education growing up in the U.S ( as paying the bills was all that mattered), but always had a love for business and mainly money. In college I majored in Business Administration and Economics, but ultimately my career began in Finance. As I began to apply the experiences learned in my profession to my personal life, I was able pay off my personal loans and credit card debt, grow my savings and start investing. Now, I am able to focus on expanding my financial knowledge and sharing it with those who might benefit and relate the most - Woman and Minorities.
The goal for your relationship with money
As women (and specifically as minority women) we were taught money is important, and while we may contribute, it's still a taboo that shouldn't be discussed - usually leaving the men in our families to deal with the finances. Now we're in a different era, by sharing my financial experiences, lessons and ideas, the hope is to equip you with the skills and confidence to make informed financial decisions and build a positive relationship with money. Money is not everything, but having an understanding of how it shapes your daily life and long term goals, is.
